Family Member Information
If you add family members to track their DNV progress alongside yours, we collect:
- Name — To identify each family member
- Relationship — Such as spouse, partner, child, parent, or sibling
- Date of birth — Optional, for your reference
- Identification numbers — Optional fields for passport number, passport country, NIE, and TIE numbers that you may store for convenience
Progress & Activity Data
- Task progress — Completion status of tasks for you and each family member
- Step completion — Individual steps within tasks that you mark as done
- Notes — Personal notes you add to tasks
Documents
- Uploaded files — Documents you choose to upload for organization
- Document metadata — File names, types, sizes, and upload dates
- Task associations — Which tasks your documents are linked to
- Family member associations — Which family member each document belongs to
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to:
- Track your progress and your family members' progress through the DNV process
- Display relevant tasks and phases based on your journey stage
- Save your task completion status, steps, and notes
- Store and organize documents you upload, associated with specific family members
- Enable switching between family member profiles to view individual progress
- Send important service updates and reminders
- Improve our services based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:
- Service providers — Who help us operate our platform (under strict confidentiality agreements), including cloud storage providers for document hosting
- Legal authorities — Only when required by law
Family member information you add is only visible to you within your account. We do not share this information with other users or third parties.

We protect your information using:
- Password hashing (bcrypt) for secure authentication
- Token-based authentication (Sanctum) for API access
- Secure HTTPS transmission for all data
- Secure cloud storage for uploaded documents
- Access controls ensuring you can only access your own data and family members' data

5. Data Retention & Deletion
Our Commitment to Transparency
When you request deletion, we permanently delete your account and all associated data. No backups, no archives, no exceptions.
- Your data is retained only as long as you maintain an active account
- You can request deletion at any time by contacting us
- Upon account deletion, we permanently remove:
- Your account and profile information
- All family member records you created
- All progress data for you and your family members
- All uploaded documents and their associations
- All notes and task completion data
- You can remove individual family members at any time, which soft-deletes their record while preserving their progress history for your reference
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of your personal information, including family member data
- Correction — Update or correct inaccurate information through your account settings
- Deletion — Permanently delete all your data, including family members and documents
- Portability — Receive your data in a portable format
- Opt-out — Unsubscribe from marketing communications
7. Cookies & Local Storage
We use minimal, essential storage to provide our services:
- Authentication token — Stored securely to keep you logged in
- Session preferences — Such as your currently selected family member profile
- Journey stage — To display relevant content for your stage
We do not use third-party tracking cookies or sell data to advertisers.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is intended for users 18 years and older. While you may add children as family members to track their DNV progress, the account holder (you) must be an adult. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18 as account holders. Information about children added as family members is controlled by you, the adult account holder.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or through a notice on our website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
